About Mental Health First Aid
The pandemic has taken a toll on our youth mental health. Homeschooling and dependence on devices for schoolwork as well as for leisure have led to increased isolation which in turn impairs youth mental health. FOIA has invested in training people in mental health for teenagers (Tuning into teens) and ten youths (Youth Mental Health First Aid). These participants upon completion of the course will volunteer at the FOIA mental health helpline on a rotation basis.
