Ram Navami
For the first time, this event was held over two days. The evening of April 9th was the cultural program incorporating classical and contemporary dancing from several dance schools. There was a fashion parade detailing the traditional outfits of various cultures in India. At the conclusion of the program the dance floor was opened for all to join in and volunteers served free food to the attendees. There were 279 attendees registered.
The next day festivities commenced at 9am with Rama pooja. Followed by chanting 1008 names of Vishnu known as Vishnu sarasaranamam. There was classical singing by several children’s groups. There was a Kahout quiz and chanting of Namaramyana to engage the audience. The divine offerings were then distributed to all the participants. The volunteers served free food for all the attendees. There were 298 attendees registered.
